今回は、大阪・関西万博のアクセス列車だったエキスポライナーについて徹底解説していきます。

１ どこを走っていたの？
エキスポライナーは新大阪駅から大阪駅、ユニバーサルシティ駅に停車し桜島駅へ向かう電車です。終点の桜島駅で万博会場までのシャトルバスに乗り換えて会場に向かいます。特別料金は要りません。
この電車は途中で梅田貨物線、西九条駅の側線など、滅多に乗れない線路を通るのが魅力です。
タイミングが合えば、右側通行でのすれ違いや、並走も見ることができます。
２ 電車の本数は？
会場方面は、以下の電車がありました。
7:33、8:00、8:30、9:31、10:44（ここから1時間間隔）、17:41、18:41、19:39
大阪方面は、以下の通りでした。
11:15（ここから1時間間隔）、16:11、17:15（ここから1時間間隔）、21:15、22:15
朝の会場方面は本数が比較的多かったです。
３ 実際の乗車記
まずは新大阪駅へ。入線してきたのは専用列車「JR WEST Parade train」です。桜島側1両のみラッピングがされています。
また、車内に乗り込むと天井付近にLED装飾がされていました。
駅の電光掲示板には、「臨時」と表記されています。
側面の表示も「ユニバーサルシティ方面桜島」となっています。
新大阪駅を発車すると、ドア上の表示が切り替わります。
西九条駅側線に入った後すぐ、桜島駅に到着です。
到着した電車は、すぐ新大阪に引き返していきました。
また、電光掲示板はこのようになっていました。

また、余談ですが平日朝の便だとたまに「T 大和路快速」の誤幕を見れることがありました。
